Vanessa Wiltshire is the founder and Director of Spark Rural, a regional communications and community engagement agency that services government and business.
In 2016, Vanessa walked away from corporate life in the city and moved to Heathcote in country Victoria. The following year, after witnessing a rural road fatality, she started to think more about life and her place in the world.
Today, Vanessa is a passionate treechange advocate. She writes, speaks, consults and facilitates workshops, all with a focus on using storytelling to help strengthen businesses and communities in regional and rural areas of Victoria, Australia.
Meanwhile, Vanessa continues to build her micro-media platform.
At the heart of this is an email newsletter dispatched weekly to a growing audience hungry for information about business and lifestyle opportunities in the country.
Tree Changer Magazine
She is also writing a book, and is preparing to publish Tree Changer Magazine: “a fresh and revealing read about the increasing number of Australians who are departing life in Sydney and Melbourne, for what is colloquially known as a ‘Tree’ or ‘Sea’ Change.
